Good Morning Gals and Gents,
This peacock was landed on a Bamboo Fly Rod.
Many Fliers don't like using Bamboo rods because it is heavy and a
extremely slow rod.Not to mention Bamboo rods are very expensive.
This is a 9ft,3 pc,5/6wt.rod and the line i used is a 6wt.WFF.

Taking into consideration that this Bamboo rod is over 50 yrs old.The
Rod was already refurbished when i got it.Now it looks as good as new.It can be
kept as a collector's item and passed down to generations. It is always
a conversation item when i am fishing with it among other fliers.
That is the difference between bamboo and other fly rods.

Ah, I see it's more of a sentiment for legacy fly rod. I must agree it draws anglers' attention. ;)
