These two fisherman and fisherwoman went fishing again.
Yes ... to play salt water catfish this time.
It's being quite awhile we fish at this place ...
I have even complained not hooking up a good size AH Seng for a long long time liaoz ...

Guess what ?
Lucky stars or rather hai long wang heard my grumbles
Send his troop of Ah Seng today.

Simon was the first to land a big one.
The first burst send the reel going ting ting ting ~
We both thought we heard wrongly ... seriously we didn't believe our ears.
The it goes ... ting ting ting again n again ...
we knew it's fish on !
Now we start to worry when Simon grab hold of the rod and start to fight the catfish from the sea ...

Fish was landed and given to the angler fishing besides us.

I had a strong take too while toying with my pet, the Oriental Whip Snake.
Luckily ...the Daichi hook gave way ... fish did not set hook.
Else I would have a minus 1 point.

Our points system goes like this :

* Gelama, grunters, leather jackets and any other edible fish get 1 pt each

* ah seng , tor sat, kukut, helicopter get a demerit 1 pt

* any special catch like flower crab lor, guhood, ang kuey gets a 2 pts

* Anything not deem fit like gobies, glass fish, ikan billis, tamban not counted


We were having fun when the sky gave us warnings ...
Sky dark dark ...wind strong strong ... current choppy ...
We know it's time to pack up and chow ...
Quickly pack everything up and soon we were at Geylang tucking into pipping hot prawn noodle soup.

Now ... as I am typing out this catch report ...
I feel being trick by the lao tian ye ...
bo loh hor leh !

The last few trips we waited out refusing to go home ...each time we were dreched from head to toes.
This time ..we listen and abide by the warnings ...
But we were ... 被骗啊！

It's great to see you revisit Punggol again, the Ah Sengs certainly did not forget about you. Despite what many people would say about Ah Seng, it is a sign that the place is still good. The greeny must be really big and fat to be able to be spotted from that far up, and one would think it has less to eat due to the bush fire. Bring your S3 next time and show us a good close up on Mr Greenie.

Yes ... we return today to have more fun with the Ah Sengs ~

Surprise us as we were the only one fishing there for the whole morning till noon ...
When tide was going down did we start to see some anglers joining us.
Slowly ... the place is as crowded as you can imagine.

Simon really had fun with the kitties from the sea.
Super duper fun ...
This batch of marine catfish are powerful and strong with their runs ...
Knowing it will carry a firm 1 demerit point ... he is glad to land the kitties.

I had my fair share of fun with the smallies there.
Love the way they come steal your tiny bits of prawn meat. lol !
Landed 2 saddle grunters which gave me a head win against Simon.

I had too many activities to keep myself occupy when I am there ...
Went looking for lizzy ... spotted a few
Went hunt for greeny but they were no where to be found today.

Around 3 pm ... we decided to pack up and go home as the sun is getting too hot for us.
It was a timely decision by Simon ...
By the time we were enjoying the cool air in the comfort of our home ...
The sky started to cry ...
