My Sunday Catch

Post by Peace »

Got up real early to catch the tide on Sunday morning. I brought some dead prawns with me and off to jig for some tambans. The tide and current seems right but I could hardly any tambans, but I finally got around 7 of them after 45 mins of persistent jigging. After that, I headed to another spot to try for the biggies using the tambans.

A couple of hours into my fishing, I got a pull on my rod and the lines were drawing out fast. But alas, the hook didn't set and all that came back was a small part of the tamban left. Luckily, there were some consolation catches after that ordeal. Handline rarely fails me. ;)

Nah, the one that took the tamban is probably a different fish, this little chermin is caught on a piece of stinking dead prawn. However, chermins do take all sorts of bait including tamban but it would probably take a big chermin to eat that whole. I've personally landed a chermin using half a Kunning, and that chermin is only about 1kg.
