That's a big prawn! It looks like Peh Chee but the swimming legs are red. I look it up a book and looks like 红脚白刺 [Banana prawn (Penaeus Merguiensis)].

The fish you have is infact an Ang Zho Kee (Russell's snapper). ;) The first telltale sign is the pinkish tail and yellow anal fin. Azk and Az also have different body pattern. Let's take a closer look at both:

Notice that Az has black speckles across its body while the Azk tend to be uniformly pinkish throughout.

Your Azk is a pretty decent sized fish, it would have ended up on a dinner plate for many people.

On a side note, you've proven me wrong that azk can have faded spots, time to correct the article. Nice work.:thumbsup:

Dom,

Putting them together, won't the AZK eat ur prawns? :raincloud:

I know nuts abt having a fish tank .... perhaps you could gather some sand by the beach ... that'll be pretty kwel! (I think)

Hmm, you're right. Looking at the second pic, the fish does seem smaller  I don't know much about aquarium too but sand certain looks nice in a tank. But I think it tends to make maintenance difficult trapping discarded food and bacteria.

The AZK must be really fierce or really hungry to take down a prawn close to its size. Hope to see more fish in your tank and more decorations. ;)
