ikan parang / mackerel

i was fishing for 3 hours and when i packing up my things to go back..i juz try one more time using tamban hook..and i got this 3 fishes straight on my line.. view the picture. :p Image

used prawn and sotong..no sign but tamban hook :thumbsup:

Wow, that's an impressive three fishes in one hook up. What's more interesting is that they seem to be three different species of fishes as well. The first one looks like a queenfish, the second on a mackerel for sure, the last one is hard to determine from the angle but it sure looks like a parang. :nod:

I believe these fishes may have followed the tamban fries into Labrador Park waters. I was told that these fries are plentiful recently, hardly can be used for bait but fishes like the ones you caught love them. Good catch there!

yup...it's lbp jetty...it's a hot weather tht time when i catch those fishes.. :cool:

is LBP,labrador jetty park??
is it a good productive spot?
im using a new bc reel,kinda scared to go fish at saltwater..lol

Welcome to HLF, ageangel. :flower:

That's indeed Labrador Park, the jetty specifically. It's quite a nice place to fish but the jetty is currently close for inspection and repairs. The rest of the park are equally good fishing spots but snagging rate is significantly higher. Don't be afraid to use your new gear in saltwater, just make sure you wash it after every trip and it'll be fine. :)
