Singapore Egiing/Squid Fishing

Post by redsnapper » Fri Mar 30, 2007 10:23 am

Nothing much to contribute to the content of handlinefishing, but got a small green eye from a short trip from squiddy land. Hope you guys dun mind that I starting another egiing thread on this forum as well.
This egiing trip to squiddy land was planned in ahead, but on the actual day the sky was pouring.
On our previous egiing trip to squiddy land, it seem if it rain, most likely the squid wouldn't be biting and this observation seem to be accurate for Singapore Squid up to date.

That must be a pretty good spot still being able to catch a squid after rain. Usually, it's just the cuttlefishes left. Hope to see more of your squid catches from the squidy land in the future!

I also want to share my little squidy that I caught sometime back, probably the same size as yours...perhaps a cm bigger! :mischieve:

My Bro got this Kukup instead of Squid on a recent trip. He misses a small squid which got away after hook up, but shortly after while he was reeling in , his phone rang and hook up the fish at the same time.
The verdict is still the same for raining day, no big squid are around at Squiddy Land. :D

Nice surprise catch. I once had a tiger grouper attack my squid jig but the hook did not set on the fish. I finished it off bait and hook style. Do give the toadfish a try, domvonn recommends! :mischieve:
