I caught a garfish using a Krocodile spoon, the 1/2 oz type. It is hooked on the body. I've been fishing recently. Early morning 530am set off by bicycle. Not early enough, as reach there , it is near 7am. I was luring for KBL with a variety of lures, but no kbl bite today. 2 days ago, one bite but missed.

Nice catch there Beachbum, did you eat it ?

I remember when I was luring and didn't catch anything I would try to aim for one. But by then they didn't seem to be interested in my lure anymore.

Nice catch on the gar, Beachbum.

Yes, I ate it. prepare fish, slice half, coat with flour and pan fry, with a few chopped chilli padi. It taste like halfbeak to me.
