On the eve of X'mas Day ...
the seven dwarfs went to punggol 17th avenue ... celebrated X'mas eve with BBQ party !

Upon arrival ... everyone quickly set up individual fishing tackles n crabbing nets ...we only have 2 ...haha !
2 guys volunteered to find wooden log for the bbq pit.
While they were away ... angie landed a selar on 1st cast.
its a nice size selar !
moments later ... raspiritz ah sum landed a mud crab!
cheers n loud scream were heard as the 2 ladies yelled their victory against the guys.

By the time the 2 guys came back ... schools of bait fish swam pass the high wall ...
we tried to foul hook them
managed to land a few fatty assam fish.

Before long ...strong winds n dark clouds can be seen.
Next came an sms from limejuice and next thing we know ...
all scrambled to keep all the stuff which we have unloaded from the cars quickly
we had to hide in the car n hoping its just a passing rain.

Wish answered ...about 1/2 hrs later ..rain stop
smile came back on our faces and we are ready to set up the pit.
Lime juice and a pretty lady joined us later in the nite.

A big thanks to raspiritz ah sum for helping out with the food
Most importantly ... taking over me to babysit gigi !

What a way to welcome X'mas with delicious chicken wings ..yummy mutton and delicious crabs !
under the starry sky of punggol 17th avenue.

except for the short burst of tears from heaven we sure had fun

in my heart i was thinking, by the time i return with the log... they might have got a catch... BUT i was wrong ... once i are back... they had 3!!!!!
1 muddie, 1 selar and last while they were busy screaming over the muddie, i secretly took my ah sum rod and brought up the 2nd selar after which immediately, l headed to aim at the big school of bait fish
really had fun "shooting" the assams after that with angie....
and 2 nets for crabbing is enough le... got us what we wanted

Thanks everyone for the contribution in one way or another & also allowing my niece to join us so last min, this early christmas celebration was well spent!

PS: the 2 selar and 3 gelemas has just been fried and eaten.... yummy!!

What a big party you guys had, must have been quite memorable. I can't help noticing the dog digging through the trash bag in the background while you guys are posing , I guess they got to celebrate Christmas too.

Pretty interesting catch you guys have too, you've more crabs than fishes. That little sponge crab is cute.
