Here's something caught over the weekend with a friend. Originally intended to find some tambans to bait with but they're nowhere to be found. We had to use the backup dead prawns instead. My friend caught the flathead and I caught the leatherjacket.

Hehee, small but very smart one. I almost lost it when it when it went into 'snag', I had to slowly free my line and luckily the fish was still there. I guess this chermin is meant to die young.

Here's my catch for today, nothing fancy but I had fun except for the non stop drizzle.

A small flounder to start the day off, let it go pretty quickly as it was very cooperative in photo taking session.


A small false scorpionfish


A greedy octopus which refused to let go of my prawn, I held it captive in a container with a netting and sunk it in the water. But it was able to squeeze through the netting and escaped!


No chermin today but I got a consolation prize which I took back home. A Spanish Flag Snapper.

My catch this week has degraded to a Bak Dao, two actually but one got away. The fishes aren't exactly biting and towards the end of the day, they won't even come smell my prawns.

Wah ! such a small baby you also fish it out of the sea.

We went for a short trip with Ian last Sat morning.
He has not been fishing lately due to busy work commitment and is in Japan eating sashimi now.

We suffered the same fate as you
Fishy refused to eat even though its sunshine after days of raining.

However ... towards noon, a fleet of helicopters landed at punggol.
Simon had fun shooting them down and we were thinking of ways to identify them.
Like using a puncher !

They kept us entertained while other fishy refused to feed.
Ian landed a nice size flower crab.

I caught a goby ... a black-lined Lagoon-goby.
A first for me

I usually don't go for cuttlefish till they start clinging on to my precious live prawns! These greedy cuttlefish don't know when to quit. Looks like you guys aren't doing too good as well, but at least you got a nice juicy flower crab. Better luck to all of us next week.
