It's being a long time since we go fishing under the hot sun. :sweatdrop:

Finish the day early, check the tide, hight tide 2+
Without a second thought, grab rod n out we go .... fishing by the long kang.

We were discussing which part of the long kang to fish.
Eventually ... ended up at the middle section.
Looks like we made the right decision.
Though the sun was a bit unbearable during the 1st half of the day,
the catches took our attention away from the heat.
This moment we were unhooking a crab,
next moment caught a suah chiam.
It was fun fun fun. :D

O...not forgetting the helicopter.
Always fake death.
This time I got it on video! lol ! ;)

Not much time left for us to play by the longkang.
The dam is completing soon ... :(

Hey, the water condition there actually looks pretty good. Too bad they're damming up the place, there goes part of your spot. :p At least you got a decent size sicklefish, and you've got crabs too! The tripodfish are smart eh, it laid still to recover and drift away to a safe distance before diving down. I think had it been struggling too much on the surface, a raptor or tern might spot it and make it their dinner, this is if they like the taste of hard spiny tripodfish...

Very nice place indeed and lots to see, I got to try there sometimes. ;)

Angie, next time when releasing the small fishy, you can throw it up high and let it pop into the water. In this way the survival rate will be much higher. Its wierd but its true wor.

Nice place indeed.
But I don't quite like that place ... for the simple reason ...
I am scratching all over with at least 10 sand flies bites
Damn itchy !

Was trying hard to get close to a tern.
But it stands tall n always notice me before I can get any closer. :sweatdrop:

Will try for them again somewhere else ... i hate sand flies !

Lucky for me, I was never an idol of the sandflies for some reason. Do stock yourself with more 'green grass oil'! :mischieve:
The terns are very good fishing birds, they follow close to the herrings and diving from great heights and accuracy to get those juicy fishes. If only I could tame one to bring me live bait when I needed one... :eyebrow:

Peacy, tie a rope to the neck of the terns. Just yank the daylights out of it when it bite the fish ... it can't swallow it at all.

A call received just before we stepped out of house for work ...
ended up with a body arts session by none other than the mosquitoes. lol !

Was deciding what to fish where to fish ...
Ms Jessie was tempted on hearing we found a suah chiam spot. :mischieve:
Both of us were scratching like monkey but went ahead to the land of flies!

Night started with loh jiak loh jiak ....
Cats here cats there ...everywhere we cast there were cats.
Simon even landed the record size baby cat fish. lol really tiny!

Both me n Simon had fun.
Of course angie emerged the champion of the night with 2 fatty suah chiam! :D

Poor Jessie ... from tiny tiny super suah chiam hook n rig
Fish here, fish there ...bo hurr.
Tried to break egg ...direct drop!
omg ! even the tau bak fooled Jessie. lol!
Ended the night with a body arts session with the mossies.
I bet this gona be a very unforgettable night for dear Jessie.

Nice thigh !

Ventured into another section of the long "long kang" last sunday afternoon
with raspiritz n vidic.

Vidic almost had a heart attack upon arriving to spot ;)
He know best the reason behind. lol !
He was sporty n game enough to go through it.
Thumbs up for him !

Another fun day out for the four of us.
Simon landed a small ray but gave a good fight.
We were guessing its size for a moment n it surfaced.
All fish released except for the yummy sand whitings caught by angie. :yay:

That's some nasty mosquito bites! Why are they bites clustered together? Great adventure trying out new segment of punggol every time, in no time you'll hit the jackpot! Hey, who is Simon going to give all those lovely flowers to?
