This is my 3rd trip this year to the southerns ... a very nice part of our island with many smaller islands to roam about.
Have heard alot and seen so many beautiful catches from the Southern part of our island ...
Somehow ... it is only early this year that we decided to give this part of the island a visit ...
And it proofs deadly ... we are deeply in love with this place ... Southern Islands !
May 18th ... a beautiful weekday ... gathers a group of know and unknown friends ... a total of 10 anglers
All were punctual and we were on our way out to the islands before 8.30am.
We had with us 4 Kg of live prawns and one whole ice boxful of fresh tamban caught from BJT courtesy of Eric.
O ... not forgetting the precious 6 squids donated to Eric from his friend.
With such well prepared and plentiful ammos ...
I was high with hope ... as the weather was good ...tide was great ... we shall dig all the biggies out from their holes ...
Started the morning with some surprises ...
gonefishing was first to get a take and after some exciting rounds with the fish ...
A beautiful 2.5Kg parrot was landed !
It came with a price tag ... his last guide from the butt came off ...
Well ... next trip I wanna wear RED!
The lady in red ... was so lucky ... she scored with quantity and quality as well ...
Once she even hook up 2 in 1 cast ...
A nice snapper and a very good size tee boon.
Everywhere she goes ... the fishes followed !
Just slightly pass mid morning ... we notice the sky not very happy about our presence at the Southern
The sky got darker and darker ...I only remember I had to put on rain coat to continued fishing.
Hoping it will not last too long ...sadly ... our hope was dashed !
Not only did it lasted almost the whole day ... the bite rate almost came to a stand still for 3-4 hours ...
I fell asleep standing ... yes standing ...
the rain ... wind ...no bite ...no joke ...send me stealing a wink standing ...
What more worst can it be ...
A fish caught me by surprise ! Snatched my prawn n away it went without paying !
I was woken up from shock and strike ..damn hit the top deck ...
Well ... it always happens ... they know when you are not paying attention. lol !
It was nevertheless an enjoyable trip.
We had with us for the first time a handliner ... met a few new friends ...
Though we did not land some real BIGgies this time ... there is always another trip ...
Till we meet again friends ...it will be 618 !
Look ... now I know why alleycat do not DARE to fish with us ... lol !
Woofie's another to be envied, the fish seems to be very much attracted to her. You guys should drop your line down her spot while she's not looking.
