This s the video which captured the moment loomis got poison !

We were chatting and suddenly he got a hard take.
Next thing we know ... the rod was in "good" hands !
However ... a lesson learn from this episode ... don't look down on Changi fishy !

Don't try to bully them with light tackle !

The greatest fear using light tackle in Changi waters ... a monster taking your line out for a free ride !

ah pong got very gd excuse: " i dunno how to use this reel"

anyway, congrats on the good catch!!!

it is indeed a very good harvest.

This has got to be your best report card for your local boat fishing, the catch is impressive. Good to see Loomis fishing again, a pity for the biggie he lost. From the video it almost seem like the fish stopped momentarily, what exactly happened before that?

Hi fisher ... we miss your haa haa ~

The mysterious monster ... took the bait of a long time no do offshore angler's setup !

It always happen this way ... either when you are busy, newbies or like loomis ... long time no do offshore liaoz ...
Monster love to patronise such anglers !

He was taken by surprise with such hard n fast take ..sending his line out non stop.
" Lost " for a moment ...uncle Fong came to his rescue immediately seeing a monstrous take.
Sadly ... fish came to a satnd still position shortly after uncle Fong took over ...
It's likely to be a grouper ... main line snapped.

There could be multiple reasons for loosing the fish ...
He was using a light setup, main line poundage was lower since reel was small too ...

We are not sad about it ... coz the moment the fish "took" his bait ...he has set foot firmly on offshore fishing. :p

It's a matter of time .... we'll see loomis with a BIGgie ~ :clover:

Yeah that's the kind of encounter that hooks anglers for life, they won't be able to rest till they land that biggie. :D You can be sure loomis will be equipped with some heavy artillery on the next trip. ;)

Ah Seng can be found everywhere, even the blue waters in the Southern ~

They are more common in Sembawang, Punggol, Kranji, Pasir Ris etc ...
They simi also whack, typical hungry monster so good luck to finding them.
Those 2-3Kg can be very fun to fight and eat too !
