Hmm....i should now point out some dangers of the handline(trust me,having ur finger burnt is NOT nice)
If the fish is a big one,it can drag u into,the sea...

...if u stand too near the edge

If u r not careful and loop the handline onto ur finger...bye bye to ur finger(if u dun take it out quickly !)
Please be VERY careful when using handline.

normally i tie it around my neck

Please be VERY careful when using handline.

If you no wear the finger brake you will burn your fingers..... Hang out with the real handliners to learn some real kung fu from them.....

Well ... I guess it comes with a lot of learning and experiences so as not to get cut.
Every forms of fishing has it's dangerous side depending on how you handle your equipment.
I personally witnessed an ah lau kena the tremble hook punctured right through his big thumb
while luring from Chia Soon Kelong.
So you are not going to do luring as well ?

Just be careful with what you are doing ...
