My 4th Offshore on Ah Chong's Boat
Date: 14th April 2007 (Sat)
Time: 8:30am to 6:00pm
Location Embarkment: West Coast behind McDonald's
Mooring: Ah Chong's Boat
Bait: Live Prawns (1.5Kg)
Fishing Ground: Pulau Bukom
Anglers: Ken, Kelvin, Kevin O'Hara, Juay, Shuan, Vincent & Me.
This is Ah Chong's Boat ..
All getting ready ...
A big catch for the day ...
My first Parrotfish .... A good size, I kept it for my dinner table.
And the total hauled ... Let me try to name them from left to right: 1 Orange-Spotted Grouper, 2 Indian Grouper , 3 Seagrass Tuskfish, 1 Indian Snapper & 1 Spanish Flag Snapper. (Correct me if I'm wrong guys)
And of course, the beautiful sunset to see us thru' another great Offshore.
This CR is dedicated to Michael Foo who was our sending-off party but could not join us!

Nice catch there, I've not tried the Ah Chong at West Coast before though I have heard about him. He comes fetches you in a small motor boat opposite RSYC right?
For the identifications, you got most of them right except that the first grouper is still a duskytail grouper and the 'Indian Snapper' is in fact a monogrammed monocle bream. All fishes are edible, though I would like to get some feedback from the person who tried the monocle bream. I tried before myself and it has a funny taste.
Why wasn't Michael able to join you guys? It's really nice of him to send you guys off.

And I better get it right the next time - duskytail grouper!
Will also get some feedback from Ken as he was the guy who took the monocle bream back.
And as for Michael, It was supposedly his trip but was held back with some last minute work, that's when I was invited.
