MY CR POST! Virgin Pay Pond Trip!

MISCLAIMER: To save space and to prevent a big mess (ok I am lazy :P ) I have decided to post the link to my CR here instead of redoing the entire thing here.
I was at the TMJ paypond for the 1st time in my life on the 2nd. Nothing much to speak of though, only got 1 fish the entire night T_T...

Congrats on landing a fish on your first trip to Taman Jurong Pond. I didn't really think you were going when you were talking about it, next thing I know you're off.

My friend was pretty sad coz he didn't get anything, we are going for day trip tomorrow, but sunday hopes ain't high, too much people I reckon.

I was away before I could reply to your virgin catch report in HLF.
A KBL for a first trip ... well done. 
How was the fight like ?
I bet you were very excited whole fighting the fish and wondering what at the other end of the line.
Did the fish did the acrobatic stunt for you ?
Nice trip and cheer up your friend.

yea, the fish jumped a lot, trying to shake the hook off I think.

Yeap. KBL famous for it's acrobatic jumps
Once fish on and if you don't see the stunt ...chances are you did not hit a kbl.
Do note though ... very very huge KBL dun jump. lol !
What you can do is ... hold the rod tip low ...
Prevent the fish trying to cut off the line with it's gills plate or fin
Also ... causes less pain thus preventing the fish to make more jumps.
Just remember the golden rules ...
Fish pull you don't reel ... fish stop faster reel.
