Aunty Pond (Neo Tiew) CR

Post by teamilk » Wed Aug 07, 2013 5:44 pm

hello bros!
i've been going to Aunty pond for few years and never once proud to post my CR, until today :D
took half day leave from work and met up with a FK seller to buy stradic ci4 2500F! got a good deal...
so immediately after dealing, went down Aunty pond to test reel!

for the first 2 hrs, i was very bored with almost 0 bites. :(
but my friend had many strong bites, which sangko many many times. lol..
he caught a small red snapper and a huge snapper after that. i was still zero fighter.

then i decided to change spots, moved around the pond. cast towards the middle of the pond instead of near the net.
abt half hour still no action. sigh...then i wanted to move back, reeled slowly...suddenly.....bam!!! got a huge pull! so i strike immediately! then the action comes...with the new reel, it was really almost effortless...but the pull was still strong! which got me thinking.. "wth is this fish???" as i reeled nearer to the banks, it was a grouper! and a huge one! my first ever grouper after so many years of fishing...my friend ran over and was super happy for me.

after so many years fishing there, the people finally took our photos. :D

my grouper weighed 4.2kg, and my friend's snapper weighed 3.8kg

conclusion: stradic ci4 is AWESOME! super smooth.

enjoy the pics!

my new reel :D :D :D

Congrats on the catch and owning that nice reel. CI4 reels are really light so you can fish longer with them without getting overly tired. I've never been to that pond before but it looks like a nice place. Thanks for sharing your catch with us! :D

haven't been online for quite sometime. been busy with work.
to answer your question, yes u can. I took the picture when we were packing up, that's why the box was not in the water.
the practice is when u have a catch, get a box (in the 2nd and 3rd pic) and rem the number, put the fish in the box into a small "tank" of water by the side. can't really describe properly. lol...
