Are there any budget surf reels in singapore tackle shops???

oh i am interested in this also. :D The tackle shop that i usually buy my stuff from in msia only got spinning rods and reels, want to try bait casting rod with surf real but seem quite expensive, any cheap shop near the north?

My friend uses shimano nasci 6000 for surfcasting, not sure if the distance casted can met to be deemed surfcasting but you can try it out. If your budget is lower maybe u can try some surecatch reels, den once u get the hang out surfcasting you may wan to consider upgrading.

Surf reels are optimized for distance casting but you can also use a regular reel like Nasci for surf just fine. For northen tackle shops, you can try sincere tackles but I don't think they stock many surf rods. Joe's Tackle at beach road and Top Gear at Kallang has quite a selection of surf rods and reels, spinning and casting setups. Check them out if you get the chance.
