I'm not into micro jigging but I reckon your tamban jigging set will do just fine for starters so long your reel has the line capacity for casting. I'll leave the recommendations to SGPU if he comes along, he's better at this! ;)

Went labrador today to try some micro jigging as well as trying to hunt some rabbit fish
after about 4-5 cast sangkot and in the end lost my jig :(
but it was $3 but still painful
anyway rabbits were hard to get in the end only end up with small wrasse but release safely
i know this is off topic But what rig should be used for rabbits at labrador i have tied a floater with 4 hooks below for next time
Is that suitable?

I assume you're fishing along the stretch of breakwater facing pulua bukom. The water there is pretty shallow and rocky, you'll lose your jig if you're not careful. ;) Your float rig will is fine, but what makes them work is the use of pole rod. It gives you absolute control of the position of the float/rig. If you're using your luring setup for the rabbitfish, you'll find that the float just keeps getting pushed back by wind, current and waves. Also, take time to watch how the regulars there catch it. :)

i was fishing that day and all the fish were just directly in front of the like mini platform
the tide was very high so just a short cast of like 3m and could get many bites liao but fail to hookup haha
I was using prawn would anything else be better
also can you lure for rabbitfish hehe i assume not hehe

Yeah it's much easier to fish from the small platform but from what I've seen, the rabbitfish regulars are usually along the small stretch just beside the carpark.

i am not better at it.

but i am just as careful with choosing my spots, so i won't lose costly jigs. $3 a piece is still one too many for me. ;)

i like labrador ground. the sea is green, less debris floating, has good sun set view. it seems like the wind was always blowing onto shore, thus casting from shore was always tough. jig can still reach a distance but not for floating lures.

personally i had witnessed people landing squids, and it was evident with the ink along the pavement. and occasionally Kim jumping off the water. BUT, i never got lucky there.

so, it's still worth fishing there.

on the right of the park, i think that area had been cordon off. above mentioned was the left of the park seaward. there's this dragon gate zone. where there's lot of seaweed. i suspect kim hiding beneath.

casting of floating lures should be safe.
