Shad lure
I bought a shad lure and decided to try it out at lower pierce. What i observe was that it tends to do a barrier roll on a medium fast retrieve. Is it broken? However, i kind of like because it looks like a injured fish trying to run away

Re: Shad lure
There can be several reasons for this. Firstly, it can be the build itself. If it's a poorly constructed lure, the swimming action may be inconsistent or won't swim at all. Check that the lure lip isn't damage as well. Using oversized trebles or excessive heavy leaders can also dampen or kill a lure's action. Check that there's no debris of weed hanging on the leader, treble or split rings. It can also be you're luring faster than it is designed for, although this one is less likely.
