Those flower crabs aren't a bad catch, I do see people catching mud crabs from Sembawang jetty before but it's not often that they do. I wonder if we can still do crabbing at the big canal further down beside the bottle tree park. That canal was full of mud crabs before they cleared it many years back.

Hey Thanks AlibabaCrabber !! That really came in useful.. I have a question.. For crabbing, high tide is better or low tide..?? coz some ppl say high tide is better whereas some say tat low tide is better.. i'm confused.. Or is it depending on the location..??

Yeahhh, a regular crabber there told me tat once he caught a big mud crab there and it actually struggled alot and almost made a big hole in his bento net.. but sembawang jetty's crabs has decreased, also became smaller in size....probably due to the reclaiming of land.. To get a mud crab in sembawang, i think it really depends on luck.. As for bottle tree park, i haven't tried ther yet.. Might be going, see my luck

for me high tide is the best try go 3 to 4hrs before the max tide. i suggest u use this trap best for crabbing better than bento.

Yeahh, and this is the cage trap tat i use.. I have 2 of it..

Its all abt ur spots..i use abt 10-20 Traps to increase my chance n i recently caugh 4-6 mudcrabs in one trips..its all abt knwing the spots..Cheers

Those are very nice catches there. Wak Hassan and simpang canal used to be a very good spot for crabbing before it was cleared. It was also an extremely good spot for catched prawns as well. Long ago, along that canal were 3 prawn ponds. Inside Simpang (on the opposite side of the canal) are more prawn ponds that are still in shape unlike the one now at the canal which has become a jogging track.

Is six pipes good for crabbing?
