Strain your eyes abit. Can you see the two blue arrows? stick the legs into the pincer in that direction. Lets have another picture.


All crab's pincer, have a 'soft spot' in that area, just above the pincers. Pushing anything into that spot will disable most crab's pincer, unless its a gigantic mud crab, whereas it will actually need two crab legs to disable =D

With that, i have no need for ropes to tie my crabs

I've heard of this but never really test it out. The soft part you spoke of is a groove that allows the pincers to move freely, I'm not sure by sticking an object in actually stops it like jamming a door hinge or is because the object you pushed cut its nerve or muscle(?) Somehow, I still feel safer seeing a crab tied up!

lol yeah once my dad used this method to disable its pincers, but when he took the legs out, he thought they could not move anymove, sekali the pincer still can move than KIAP his finger ><

maybe for small crabs can lah but not mud crabs their kong very strong de one miss cue confirm see blood

if u lazy use string to tie y not use cable tie faster n less wrk like that time tamban n mi aso use it to tie up the crabs.
