Where can catch seawater prawns (not pond) like usingcrab net and what bait

i am not sure about catching prawns using a cage/trap. However i do know that there is a season to cast net for prawns, never tried before so i cant really help you out with this!

Buy a casting net and cast it near the shore during evening time

Which shore best?

I cannot give you the specifics as everyone have their own favourites. as catching prawns is like fishing,you need to know their habitat and through trail and error.Luck and skill do plays a part too. You may try near breakwater areas or drian discharge pipes.Stay away from areas where lots of human activity area as they will disturb the crusteceans. Most of all,you must keep trying and don't give up

N.B singapore beach is quite dangerous as there are lots of sudden drop offs.Do be careful when you cast your net.Many a times i have been complacent and the current or drop offs nearly got me killed

Drop offs?

drop offs are sudden drop of seabed like example at the shore it maybe 1m of water take another step forward 5-6m deep of water thats why u have to becareful.There are spots to cast for prawns i do get some prawns during my cast net trip at pasir ris, sungei tampines and sungei api api are good places to start with however u wanna watch out for jelly fishes and catfishes that frequent those waters . remeber to have someone with u when u go cast net so tat u will have people to look out for u. Oh yeah do scan the surrounds for rocks u dun wanna cast ur net into piles of rocks u may have juz wasted ur whole net . Good Luck casting and Cheers!

Dairyfun is right about that,i missed out to inform you tha about rocks and dangerous fishes

six pipes does look alright for cast netting from the platform but u have to test the bottom first using fishing weights to check how deep and how snaggy too deep ur castnet may not to be able to sink down to the bottom then u cant catch anything too snaggy u risk ur cast net~
