handlining question.

If you hook up a fish like KBL in the 5kg size using handline, do you release line or use brute force to pull it up ? line is 25 lb, 40lb or 60lb mono line.

it is actually much easier to bring a fish up using a handline then using a rod. i mostly use brute force, not sure about the rest

That depends on whether you're using gloves or not and the place you're fishing at. If you're using bare hands, there's only so much pressure you can safely put on the line without risking line burn. If you're wearing gloves, then brute force away. Brute force isn't always a good idea as sometimes hook gets ripped out of the fishes' mouth. But for fishing in places with lots of cover and obstacles, brute force always a better choice.

I alway use force....if ur line is heavy weight... Use ur reel to fight instead of hand... I tio ropeburn untill I scare n change to rod lol
