May i suggest that as the forum is still relatively "not so old" and with not too many regulars visiting, that you keep the "old posts" for 90 days before auto-deleting?

I see no reason to object but how many really reads a thread with a last reply that is 90 days old. But I see no harm extending the period as you suggested and it eventually gets deleted anyway. Motion granted!
