Yuanxiao Jie, also known as the Lantern Festival, falls on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese New Year.
Today, 17th February marks the end of the Spring Festival celebrations.

The 15th day of the first lunar month, the first full moon after the Spring Festival, is the occasion for the Lantern Festival.
It is customary to eat special sweet dumplings called yuanxiao and enjoy displayed lanterns during this festival.
Yuanxiao, round balls made of glutinous rice flour stuffed with sugar fillings, symbolize reunion.

I wonder how many Singaporeans still celebrate this day with family members and love ones.
For us, its a simple home cook dinner with tang yuan as desserts.

That said ... it's dinner time.
Wishing all a happy and prosperous Rabbit Year 2011 ! Huat ah ~ :yay:
