Another new toy

Post by Peace »

It's a sports camera I bought from an online store. I'm a little disappointed that it's bigger than it looks on the web, it'll be difficult to use it for fishing but the video quality is pretty good. I took it for a spin with my bicycle today, here's a short clip of the ride. :D

Woah nice quality. Nice nice. How big do you mean by 'big' and, how do you hold on to the camera while you bike
I wanna catch a big fish~~~~

It's big in the sense that it's not something you can attached to your cap, maybe a helmet but I didn't find it comfortable with that extra weight on my head. The camera comes with bicycle mount you can attach to the handle bar so there's no need to hold the camera with your hands. It also comes with some straps as well as a car kit. It's waterproof as well, so you can use it for watersports too. ;)

I cycle close the to the kerb for my own safety and courtesy to other road users, of course this means more bumpy ride and more susceptible to tire punctures.

That is one interesting toy you got !
Not the usual camera I was having in mind when you told me about it. lol !

And the way you cycle ... @.@
watching that video make me feel like sitting in a roller coaster.
While watching the clip .. can imagine our-self as you cycling ...
The steering handle went left right left right as you cycled uphill. :p
But the going down slope was kinda FUN ! hahaha ...

Just wondering if you had intended to use the camera to film yourself fishing ?
You know .. those usual solo trips where you do it all alone ?
With this BIG canon sitting on your cap you mention ?
Good luck ... you will need a helmet !

Yea, down slope is sure fun. But to come to a downslope there certainly must be one upslope. I don't think me or my bicycle can take too vigourous riding, age has caught up on the both of us. :p

Yes, I've thought about using it for fishing but I guess I will settle it for surveillance uses to capture the action on my baiting rod.

Hey ... no updates on your new toy ?

How is it going ? Dead yet ?
I just cannot trust China products ...

Looking for something small so it fits into Scott or Junior's collar :mischieve:

Haha, partially. I'm not expecting much from this product, infact the cheap plastic isn't durable and bike mounting base has broke due to all the shaking and heat under the sun I guess. I'm still using it for my fishing though it's a little cumbersome, check out my luring videos. ;)

There's a small camcorder light enough for your dogs but they're probably not comfortable with a camera attached to them.

Ooh ... that's a tiny camera.

I have seen Westies club members used an even smaller one on their doggy ..
Effect not very good as it swings around on their collar and at time you are filming but their furry chest.
And as they walk, jump around ... there is too much vibration ... not vid you will enjoy watching at ;p

So probably will need something that can hold into position onto their collar ... ;)

I don't think there's any secure way of taking a video from a doggie's view, if there is one it will be very uncomfortable for the dog. So ultimately, you'll end up vomitting watching the shaky video.

I hate that movie, both the plot and the shake!
