Had some time to spare just head down to Lorong Halus to take a look. Here's some photo shots taken from my camera phone:

Wow, thanks for sharing the photos. From the signboard, it looks like the river is already part of the new reservoir so it's likely to be no fishing. This place used to be a fishing haven for many lurers. ;)

Hi Oinkie, thank you for sharing this info.
I was there on sunday, it's a very relaxing place to enjoy an evening walk  . and I continued my journey to the Serangoon Tidal Gate area ( just like the one you may see next to Punggol Marina ), there are people fishing at the rocky shore nearby. In future it will lead all the way to Coney Island, which is blocked now and still under construction. I tried searching these places on google map satellite view, and they are not found. It seems there itsn't any official map yet ... :(

I hope fishing can and will be allowed in there in the future when the construction is completed. It would be interesting if they would let us fish from Coney Island.

Peace, lets all of us pray for that day will come soon  . I really missed Coney Island ( Now known as Pulau Serangoon )! It was CRABS CRABS CRABS everywhere in the shallow water around the island.
Someone whom had recently ventured there told me, there are two teen wildboars sighted regularly, and they will not hesitate to give you a good chase hehe :shh: .

Were the wild boards on the small island or in Punggol area? The forested area in Punggol is dwindling and those piggies are likely to be homeless in the future.

They were seen on the island, but i believe they can swim around this area. someone had left food there to feed them.
