It's going to be tough finding a fishing kaki on such short notice and on a weekday, nevertheless good luck on your fishing today! :)

Fishing kaki, i will be free to fish this coming 16th or 17th March.Currently hooked on jigging Tamban. If you want to join me next week at bedok jetty let me know.Dont worry about the Tamban hoohs as there is always a uncle selling "Tamban Hood" or "Tamban Hoot" which ever sounds like. Its priced at $5 for 4 packs. Not a very good one but good for reborn again newbies like me :D

It's actually tamban hooks, I've personally never bought one from them but I've seen people using Jepun's tamban hooks that were very effective. Better than the ones I tie myself. :o

I tie my own as I can use hooks of my preference, I need them to be small enough to catch tambans and kunnings but at the same time strong enough to withstand a run from yellowtails. Quality hooks last a bit longer too but they're expensive.

For tambans alone, size 4 is probably the best. Their mouth are actually quite big when they extemd out their jaw, even larger sized hooks are okay. But if you're also expecting other types of fishes like large selars, yellowtails or "orh kha hia" then 6-8 is recommended. Tambans' mouth gets torn fairly easy and some will drop back before you can land them, it's quite normal and not really the hooks' fault.

I personally use this hook to tie for general bait jigging.
