I would invest more money on overhead reel first and settle for a cheap rod first, say a Penn Power stick Sea Ranger and push for a saltist bg 30/40 which you can use for surf fishing later on. You can upgrade the boat rod and buy a surf rod later on. As for the spinning reel, you can just go for a shimano Aernos which should cost about 80 dollars.

Ok thanks tamban will definitely look for both the equipment that u brought up to me.....
How abt spinning reel any reel dat u can recommended me....

The spinning reel if u bros could recommend me would appreciate if it can go along with the rod that tamban recommend me hammer jig....and looking for a multiplier rod of abt 8ft to abt 12 ft oso....for onshore uses...

Btw tamban 5.8ft would it cast out far from of onshore coz 5.8ft is good for offshore fishing which juz drop down from the boat but wad abt casting from shoreline...

Rods mostly come with either for multiplier or spinning usage. In this case, tamban recommended the rod is for multiplier only. If you wanna get a spinning setup u gotta get the whole set. The rod tamban mention is suitable offshore only. It can also be use onshore, but its kinda overkill.

For surf rods, U could try penn slammer, penn powergraph surf , penn powergraph bass, which will cost around 100-150. Make sure u are able to handle them because they might be quite heavy and tough to cast with multiplier. Penn powergraph bass series is lighter, good for overall general fishing, sensitive tip, but i dont think u could find it in the market anymore. :D There are also other series such as penn inxs groundcast or pendulum which will cost more. But they can go up to 15ft. Most of them are quite stiff and heavy duty rods.
Fishing is unquestionably a form of madness, but happily, for once bitten, there is no cure. --Francis
