They're of little value since they don't grow very large, I think they're of different species of those that grow up to several hundred kilograms. The meat ain't that bad though, although not comparable to other groupers such as the orange-spotted ones.

Threw tamban hooks w prawn meat today, suddenly rod took a bend, and up came 4 palm sized chocolate hinds!! Never knew groupers came in groups.
I wanna catch a big fish~~~~

They do gather in small groups, but 4 in a hookup is pretty lucky!
