I sense a long writeup from you on Pulau Ubin. I wish I can contribute but to be frank I've only been there once and that was many years ago. :shh: This will be a good introduction to those who are interested to explore Pulau Ubin for some fishing spots. I personally love there for the rural feel and the closeness to nature.

So come on guys, ilurbtambans could use some valuable inputs on this. :)

Don't worry about the 'dirty stuff', every spot has it. In case you really do see one, just pack up and leave. Don't panic! :p

Ubin's supposedly a nice ground for Barramundis, you can bring some lures if it's too much of a hassle to bring baits. You can also play baiting and you can expect groupers, mangrove jacks, russell's snapper, rays, catfish and such. You need to bring your own tackles and bait over. On the island, you can only get food, drinks and bicycle rental. I've only been there once and it's many years ago so my information may not be accurate. ::x:

wow, didnt know there are so many species to be caught there. guess will bring my stuff there since i am the only "fisherman" in our group...but dunno how am i gonna bring live bait there. gotta bring a pump i guess.
(cos our intention going there is just to have fun and sort of gathering)
