Re: need help in toman fishing.
Many toman catches you see are likely to be either fishing in illegal areas or use of illegal baits in reservoirs. Tomans aren't rare in our reservoirs, just out of your reach in the remote areas. Live baits and artificial lures are just as good but it requires the right technique for it to be useful. In a more disturbed areas like many designated fishing grounds, Tomans can be more cautious and live baits takes the edge.
Just a reminder that our reservoirs do not allow use of organic baits.

Organic baits are those like live baits or dead prawns and even bread that can pollute the water as they decay, that's why they aren't allowed to be used for fishing in reservoirs.

Snakeheads are sensitive to vibration and noise in the water, you can try poppers or woodchoppers that creates lots of noise and water splash that catch their attention. This works well especially when the water is calm either during the early morning or late evening when the wind tends to subside for awhile.

Re: need help in toman fishing.
The issue with using live baits is that anglers often discard their remaining live baits into the reservoir after fishing. This can upset the ecology balance by introducing an alien species or parasites that comes with the fishes. The live baits may be injured or unable to adapt the new environment and die shortly after, it can still cause pollution this way but it's not the biggest concern.

Urrrgh, no time to fish now~
Re: need help in toman fishing.
Limfish, the guppies we rear cannot be found in the wild, and may be able to adapt to their surroundings, which can too cause a major depression in certain species. Lets say a certain animal like the turtle, which usually eats both flora and fauna, may find the guppies more easier, nutricious , etc. and thus start feeding on the guppies. This will than increase the popolations of turtles and the turtles will than start feeding on other species apart from the guppies.... Well you get the point ._.
I wanna catch a big fish~~~~
