Re: Pole Fishing
If you're fishing from breakwaters, pole rods will be very ideal. Length of line inclusive of rig should be slightly longer than the rod itself so it will be easy for you to rebait while holding the rod. Rabbitfishing isn't exactly my forte but the rig look something like in the picture below. You can use chumming to attract the fishes to come but that is optional. For mullet fishing you can use the rig in the second picture. Note that you shouldn't use one type of rig to fish both species of fishes, they feed at slightly different water levels. However, both species of fish do take bread.

Hey Peace, Thanks for the useful information But I have one more question, I have observe some people using very small weight on the line near the hook. Why is that so???

Re: Pole Fishing
For rabbitfishing, you'll be fishing very close to the shore and the purpose of the sinker is only to sink the bait. Heavier sinkers will drag down the float and gets snagged easier. It also makes the line more taut which can spook the rabbitfish. Chumming is optional, you can always do without it.
