That's quite a Patin Party. :D I've never tried or have caught a Patin before, I do hope to try it someday. Thanks for sharing your catches with us. :)

I think the biggest I ever caught is around 4.5kg. I think lady luck was with me tat day cause when I hook it there was not much fight think it was quite tired after a long night of fighting with other people. the rod used there are standard rod which u need to buy over at the counter $5/ea fish until line break n use only 6lbs mono line.

its 4lbs line lol :nod: btw try getting the 6kg one or the carp they have in there :D im done with the 6kg only left the carp :rant:

there are carp in there you just have to look closely.... they are very outstanding in colour unlike the patin where you have to look closely

dbs, here's my secret recipe.... just bring it to your nearest zi char stall and have them cook it for you in whatever way you want :D

Sorry for this damn noob question coz I used to hook up big Patins at FW3 ..
So if you want me to eat this fish ... no way ! 0.o

yes they can be eaten.... but if their "belly" is too fat, the meat will taste oily.... but the fats in the belly can also be eaten in small amounts as they contain omega 3 fats
