Which species of fish are you targeting wth the floater? Both jetties are unique and have their common species of fish around them. Bedok jetty has generally more species of fish, encompassing more marine fishes. Waters around Woodlands jetty has lower salinity due to its location but fishes like barramundi and barracuda prefers it. You can often see anglers landing big cudas using the assams or tambans caught there.

Aiming for tambans and any good fighter fish, like tarpons or queenfish

I'm not too sure about Tarpons, but for Queenfish you can either use floater or cable car rig. I would prefer the latter if i am fishing from a jetty. Floater always attract needlefishes, not that they don't give a good fight. :p

For a floater rig, you can stick to a typical one like this:

If you really have to cast it, this one might be better

For Tambans and Mackerels, it'll be Bedok Jetty. For Assams, definitely Woodlands Jetty.

I'd say Bedok Jetty.
