Eating is Singaporean pastime ... and what better way to enjoy your food than buffets ?

Steamboat Buffets ! Top on my list :yay:

My interest in steamboat is more than just the food itself ...
it's the atmosphere that is generated from friends/relatives dining together ...
While the soup stock is heating up .... each starts to hurl plates after plates of fresh seafood like prawns,
different types of meat and vegetables into the steaming mixture .....
Chopsticks at the ready to grab the cooked food ....
The experience is simply enjoyable and relaxing way to dine out.

We used to patronize this stall very often then ...
Sometime last year ...they took the delicious pig's intestine off the menu and we stop eating there since.
Drove pass it the other day ... decided to have dinner there.
It's a blessing ...they have our favorite food ( 猪大肠)back on it's menu ! :D

There are 6 different soup stock to choose from ...
You can even choose 2 different types and they will served it in a two compartment pot.
For the price of $18.80 per person if you are going for the buffet ...
You get to choose from more than 50 items listed on their menu B and C
Food items are served on small little Japanese plates
Staff are always on standby to take down your next round of order

Some must try items includes their shrimp wanton, sliced pork ( san zhan bak ), fish paste ...

The above meal cost us $47+ and we definitely will be back for more of the 猪大肠 !

Had dinner at Tian Yi again last night.
This time ... we took two of our fishing kakis there before going for our weekly fishing trip.
It was nevertheless ... another enjoyable meal with lots of laughters and praises for the food.

Trust me ... the猪大肠is scrumptious !
It's thick and well cleaned and prepared ...not a tinge of smell ... matched so well with the soup ...it's heavenly.
Believe it ... it's that good lor ... we ate a total of 8 servings of this dish alone.
An average of 2 plates each.

Steven love the chilli sauce as much as I do.
One weird thing he does though ... added an egg into it n whipped it up.
Used it as dip sauce for his food

One thing we found out last night was ...
They charge $18.80 per person for their buffets Monday to Sunday.
Unlike most restaurant which charges more on weekend and public holiday.

Before we even leave the place ... phones were ringing and this angelicious eating place spread to relatives and friends liaoz. :D

No worries ... we make friend with the " 阿姨" there liaoz :D

Was there for dinner again last nite ... and she was all smiles.
Came by and chatted with us for a short while.
Just the two of us we down 5 plates of the 猪大肠 ! ::x:

They are having a promotion with 10% discount on Monday to Thursday.

I really like the atmosphere there ... always sitting at table 21.
The open air atmosphere ... the surounding old estate feel ...
A nice place for a steamboat dinner with some friends.

Raspiritz dropped by when we almost finished.
Just in time for a cup of coke.

Was there again few weeks back.
Holy ... do join us next time ... we'll call you k :)

This is one of my favourite steamboat place ... I like the quietness at nite.
Prefers to go on weedays as the crowd is so much lesser.
Can really enjoy the peace and have a good meal with friends.

The staff there recognise us now ... she knows we are there to chomp up the pig's intestines
