I catch this guys quite often at West Coast. They can stay alive outside water for an extreme long time. Once, we caught one at 9 pm and dumped it into the box. but when we reached home at 4am in the morning, it was still alive. They dont give fight de. when u reel them up they just wiggle abit =P
Yea, it certainly can if it's night time, the temperature is cool and the air is moist. These catfish usually come in a school, I usually cast a different spot or change the fishing spot entirely if I hit a second one.
