I am the odd one who will try to avoid doing online purchases whenever possible.

Unless it is really not available locally and I m in a desperate state of "must have",
will not engage in online purchase.

Whats more ... rod ?
Never never for me ... I need to feel the rod in my hands and better still ...
fit it to my reel to decide if it is a good match before making a commitment to buy ;p

Difficult customer 100% ! :mischieve:

Honestly I aso abit scare. In case of defact, warranty issue. N shipping sometime is nearly half of the cost of reel

Yes, warranty issue is a concern. You'd probably have to pay for the shipping to send the item back which may not be worth the cost. Rods takes quite a bit of shipping dimension(cost) and are fragile so you must ensure the seller packs them in sturdy packaging.

i don't know how to write reviews, lacking of all the adjectives. learn the word parabolic from you. =) . . . thanks ar . . .

bought on friday 27th april, reached me today 30th april. shipping was about $50odd USD. comes in hard casing. not very satisfied with the delivery though.

there are impact marks on the casing. and the rod wasn't bubbled-wrapped. will bring it out for a few cast tomorrow and hopefully it is fine.

sigh . . .

bought 2 berkley rods and 1 daiwa rod online ages ago.
both arrived in good condition with acceptable packaging.

gave 1 berkley to my friend. used both and worked fine for me.
so far so good.

only flaw is that it took quite sometime before i received the items.

it's always safer to check the seller's background and popularity. also, read the comments on the seller, esp the bad comments.
also, it's always better to compare with local tackle shops to compare the pricing. sometimes, the item cost + shipping cost is the same as buying from local tackle shops. :)
