Post by xiaodhanan »

anyone have seen recent catches of this fish ? im refering to sebarau. looks like after the pbs and temmies came in. i wonder where the sebaraus went. i remember when i was young me and my dad trekked till mandai amd there was a small clearwater pond in the forest. many baby sebaraus. but at that time i didnt realized. now thinking back i hope they are still there.

I believe they're still rather common in Macritchie Reservoir and other other parts of the central catchment area. Many shallow streams also have barbs that may look similar to Sebaraus. If anyone finds a spot for them, they'd probably keep quiet about it. :shh:

before pbs were introduced there was already sebaraus. but also not in a big amount as how the pb population is right now.
