How Quickly Do They Deliver The Meal To You ?

Post by dBs™ »

Contestant No. 1 : Sakae Sushi

http://www.sakaesushi.com.sg/

This is my first time dialling the Sakae Sushi Delivery Hotline ...

There are some many home meal Delivery Service Providers in the Savory Delights section.
Besides MacDonald, KFC and Pizza Huts... Delifrance, Sakae Suhi etc are new kids on the block.
Probably we should do a thread to review the delivery services ?
How good are they at it ?
Does the meal reach you on time ?
Or do they keep you waiting and waiting with growling stomaches and angry faces ?

It's 7:18pm now and I have just ended the call with the Sake Sushi delivery call center ...

Let's see how long it takes for the sushi to reach me ... :mischieve:

About the website : Easy to follow menu and instructions. Took me less than 5 mins to understand the ordering procedures.
Didn't take long to get through the hot line and call was quickly transferred to the call center.
Receptionist was polite and speaks clearly with a good speed.
I do notice sometimes when you dial for Macdonald, you won't catch what they were saying for the first 5 seconds.
Took me less than 5 mins to place my order and am waiting for the sushi to reach me now ...
She said the sushi will reach me in an hour or less ...
tick tock tick tock .... time clicking away ...

I notice after hanging up that it was so much easier than calling Macdonalds.
Practically hassle free !
But she did not repeat my order nor the delivery address worr ...
So will the food realli be delivered to me ... on time ? ;)

8:11pm phone rang .... oops !

Just to confirm the address !!! 0.o

Now ... I start to worry if I will get my food any time soon ? :sweatdrop:

Date : 4th June 2009, Thursday

Time of Order : 7:18pm

Time Food Arrive : 8:15pm

Sakae Sushi PASS !!!

The delivery man calling from down stair ... he is merely steps away from me.
Confuse with the "special" unit no. ( not his fault ... many a times delivery man will ask again n again just to be sure) ::x:
I got my food in time ... 3 mins ahead of time.

Food delivered in paper boxes and plastic containers.
Everything in order.

I am satisfied with Sakae Sushi Home Delivery Services.
* these are purely my personal opinion based on the delivery service I received.

Food delivered in paper boxes and styrofoam cups for soup.

I like my Teriyaki chicken set. Tasty and yummy.
The ebi Tempura was still crispy and warm.

Overall ... food tasted as good as you were dinning at the restaurant itself.
They charges a $4 delivery fee with a minimal $30 order.
Reasonable fee to have the sushi send right to your door steps.

Definitely will use their service again. ;)

I guess eating out is part and parcel of the Singaporeans Lifestyle.

We have to eat out be it fast food, hawker center or even restaurant especially you are at work.
How many of us have the luxury of going home for home cooked food during lunch hours ?
Or even the time to prepared home cook food to bring to work ?
With majority of us being double income family ... it's pretty definitely we eat out most of the time.

Be it eating at the eatery, ta paued or delivered ....
I always stick to the moto ... want to eat don't see !

I used to work in a famous food court during the 90's when food court was a trendy thing then.
The chicken rice tasted so good right ? lunch hours you see long long Q ...

When the chef cook the rice ... they simply scooped from the ganny sack, no need rising, add all the ingredients in
and water ... hurray ...yummy chicken rice. ::x:

Those vegetables ... beans sprouts, chai sim, kang kong and cabbages ... got wash meh ?
No de lor ... chop chop chop and into the wok then onto the serving pan ;)

chicken rice chilli sauce ... see a fly in it ... throw whole pot away ?
scoop it out and still serve on de lor.

To be frank ... I hate fast food or delivery food.
Home cook food is the best.
But I do not have a choice 0.o

Then again ...
With today's stringent Hygiene criteria and living standards ...
Food are prepared in a cleaner and healthier way.
If you really get to eat a special order ... count yourself unlucky lor.
Anyway ... you won't know !

Splendid ! They did it in half an hour !

When you are hungry who do you call ? Spot Kitchen !
* Do note this is not the first time I am using Spot Kitchen's delivery service.

Took a few seconds to be connected and a nice gentleman over the phone greeted me.
After taking down my order first ... next he took down my address and repeated them to me.
After which I was given the bill amount so I can prepare the cash in advance.
Ended the call and look at the time on my computer screen ... it reads 6.30pm.
Merely half an hour's later ... at 7.00pm sharp ... a young gentleman standing at our door ..
Our food is here !

Food nicely packed in paper boxes and styrofoam boxes.
The delivery man keeps it in a back pack ... not too sure if it's those warmer type.
All orders were delivered correctly.

The spring chicken were pipping hot and crispy.
The fries were hot like just came out of the fryer.
The fish and chip crispy and hot too.
the coslaw and baked beans were packed separately.
Soup warm and they gave us plenty of chilli sauce to go with the food.

A minimal order of just $10 and a $2 delivery charge ...
It's super super fast food.
All thumbs up for Spot Kitchen.

OMG !!! 20 mins is lightning speed !

Your house next to a Delifrance is it ?

Yes, Deli's food is slightly on the expensive side.
I remembered dialing for them some months back ... delivery service was good.
Packing was neat and hygienic.
I love those individually packed cutlery set.
I didn't really take note of the time it took to get my food but it's definitely under an hour.

And yes ..the food were yummy !
As good as dinning in the restaurant itself. :)

The Food arrive on time ...she said before 8.30pm.
It came in at 8.03pm ... not too bad ... just 2 hours plus ! :S

The food ...

The signature curry chicken came in a nice paper box with the bread nicely wrap up.
It feel "warm" ... tear open the bread exposed the bag of curry chicken.

We do dial for 933 once in a while ... you can't be calling 67773777 every time.
However ... I find that their "curry" standard has dropped.
This time round ... the curry tasted weird.
After just a sip of the curry ... I refuse to take more.
There is this funny taste and smell ... not stale but just not right.
Probably some spices were over done.
The bread remain tasty. Soft and fluffy with a tinge of sweetness as you chew on it.

The other side dishes which we ordered was another disaster.
The prawns and chicken roll was so so only ...
The mixed vegetables was a horrible dish.
It is simply some mixed veggies boil to softness, packed into a plastic container with
a small packet of oyster sauce ! :S
Some veggies is under cook ...tasted raw still ...
We didn't even finish half of it ...

And last item ... we ordered the yam paste with ginko nuts for dessert.
Yam paste was cold .... and too starchy ...
If we have craving for curry in future ... I'll make a trip downstair to ta pau !
For $45+ ... we definitely can get better quality food.

933 Curry Chicken has gone from Good to Bad ... now Worst ! ::x:

Pastamania Delivery
Hotline : 6275 7555

Date : 23rd June 2009, TUESDAY

Time of Order : 6.00pm

Time Food Arrive : 6.38pm

As usual, we are quite a pasta lover so we decided to try pastamania delivery service and at the
same time to also add on to dBs's thread. :p

Hmmm.... i would say the delivery time taken was reasonable and when food delivered was
warm and pastas were packed separately from the pasta sauce into different boxes.

Cost wise was rather affordable, it merely cost us about $26.00 plus.

Just to share the best part of the delivery.....
No forks and spoons were provided and they throw in a packet of tissue paper.
Summary?
Please use your hands to eat the pastas and use our pastamania tissue paper to clean your hands after eating.
Hahahaha.....

Anyway, let the pics do the talking.....
