Lightstick surfcast

Post by Zafri »

Hi, been hearing alot of rumours that placing lightstick on your line for night surfcast isn't that good as it scares fish away.. But i still see alot of anglers doing it. Any thoughts of it? Thanks in advance

nice work there zafri, having considered what and how to increase your chances while fishing. i admire such thoughts.

if i may, i opine it has no adverse effects.

if you are concern with light stick, and bell . . .

i have this to recommend https://kastking.com/collections/spinni ... nning-reel

i bought one via lazada recently. yet to try it.

the function of it is, after cast, there is this lever to release your spool, fish hit, take the bait, give it a run, it will trigger your spool clicker, that is when you will be alerted, fish on, you crank your lever, the spool will engage again. . .

I too, don't think it has any significant effects. Perhaps it may attract small fishes or squid and in turn draw bigger fishes' attention. :p
