silicone muppets

Anyone have any idea how to use silicone muppets?
it looks like a hollow squid made from silicone anyone? :confused:

You can get these skirts from most tackle shops, I remember buying a pack at Joe's a month or so ago. They're usually attached near hooks, be it for jigs or for baiting.

Yes, you can say that. It's hard to measure it's effectiveness when using it with bait though. My thoughts would be that the motion of its tentacles as you pull and let go will attract the fish to come for a closer look and the bait will do the rest.

Yes, it's normal snelling. If you're talking about tying assist hooks for jigs, then it's different. I would put a bead between the skirt and the hook to prevent it from slipping out.

i was thinking of putting split shots instead to increase the weight to throw further? and when i was using it pb chase but only bite the ends never bite the hook cos the hook was all the way at the head

Yes, a split shot is good if you're doing casting and luring but probably not very good if you're doing baiting. it'll hold the bait down onto the seabed.
