First ever female mud crab

Caught my first ever female mud crab! But after tying it up, I realized it was empty and let it go.

That's a nice size mud crab and a wise decision to release it back. Most people would have took it back home. I bet it'll come back to you once she's all meaty. :D Have you tried eating a thunder crab before?

I know right? Catching it was enough to make my day. Its usually males I see, I became quite worried about their reproduction, but my mind is at ease now :D
I considered it before but never got around doing it, I heard the meat is amazing, can you vouch for it? Hahaha

Your picture looks like your fingers are between the claws, ouch ! :D Anyway, glad that your effort was appreciated in return with a female muddy. Nice !

I tried it once and only ate the claws like what people said. Didn't find it any better than mud crab but it's still pretty tasty.
