I m not pro wif tackle, for me my tackle is 3-8 calstar overhead rod, and accurate 870. I did not use another pe 3-6 spinning rod Which I brought along for the trip. All the while I jus hit bottom.

Another frn of mine used kaiser 1-3, another a unknown small reel ...he jig n got ebek abt 5kg, cobia abt 8kg, red grouper abt 3kg. He got alot bite, but didnt mangaged to land the fish cos he tried to yank the fishes out of the water like I do hee hee.

Personally I think 3-6 is gd enough, reel abt size 6k shld b suffice. We used size 5, 6, 7 hook. Day time is apollo rig. Nite is lang gong. Sinker size 14 to 20.

I kia si ... Alway heavy set up .... Dun wana to lose my catch. My line aso pe 8. I kia su aso :x

Tat day we went, sea is rocky and has some tidal wave. So the current was also affect in some way, hence the heavy sinker. I do not know during calm water wad the sinker would be. The water is abt 30m for 2day 1nite fishing, if we r heading for 3 day 2 nite, the water is 60m. For june trip, I think would most properly b cancel as I will b going for tour.

We will b booking for oct for the 3day 2 nite, as we had nt tried the 3day before.
