Nice, I can actually use this picture if you don't mind. I need to confirm the exact species first though it should be a clown knife. Thanks for sharing Patrick.

I welcome all photo contributions. If you have a very well taken photo of the fish, it can replace the current specimen photo.

Have I caught a new leatherjacket?? (Frm bedok jetty)
http://imgur.com/WKotvvM
Pity the pliers are in there, would have made a nice specimen pic
I didnt realise it looked a little diff from the other stuff on the site so i didnt get a better picture haiz...
Hope it helps though
Heres another pic but its kinda bad
http://imgur.com/pbX9Vtr
As you can see it was a lucky catch as its spine was tangled in my rig
Btw, i saw another biggish triggerfish/leatherjacket swimming in between the pillars that day, it was deep blue?ish in colour. I could tell it was a trigger because of how it swam (undulation of the anal and posterior dorsal fins)
Did a little research, could it have been this? It was the only thing that turned up for "deep blue triggerfish"
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redtoothed_triggerfish
Its range is the Indo-Pacific too!

It looks like a bristletail. but I can't quite make out if it has bristles near its tail or not. I will need a close up picture of your other trigger fish you saw, I know it's not going to be easy but there's no other way to be sure.

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since anyone posted here.. but I thought I’d share a little something from a few days ago since I couldn’t find many if not any records of this species in our waters anywhere so far. Landed a juvenile Moon Wrasse(Thalassoma lunare) in the Singapore straits.
Other notable finds during the same trip: a female specimen of Halichoeres leucurus(Silty Wrasse)

The moon wrasse is a rare find indeed, I don't think I've encountered one before. It's been documented before in our waters and it's definitely not something we can see everyday.
Did you bring a tank to photograph the fish in? It's very well taken.

Re: Specimen List **Updated 19th January 10**
Thanks! Based on the link you referenced, it seems like a lucky find indeed . To be fair the water was clear enough to see large coral colonies in the area I was fishing at when this guy was landed. Photos were taken in a white rectangular container i brought along with mePeace wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 10:34 pmThe moon wrasse is a rare find indeed, I don't think I've encountered one before.
