hmm not really.... you should say that there is a higher chance to get large pavons than PBs

omg today i went fishing one of my line broke siol the peacock bass fight very hard leh..mayb my line broke because of little lines..arghh..and almost all of my lures lost or stuck leh.. :(

why i seldom get it stuck in rock or lost while fighting fish :nod: ;)

errr maybe my line is too strong or something else, i always pump the fish in. it only fight when it is near the land or shore ... :grin:

maybe its because when you pump the fish in, the fish is confused and does not know what to do until when the water gets shallower then it realises it is in danger.... pumping fish is a good way to bring fish in quickly but you lose the time that the fish needs to fight well to let you realise the true power of the fish

yeah i think my line very "paper" and my line very short so break btw is my friend almost caught it he pull when the fish is pulling so it broke the line

yeah i know..IF people dunno how cast one will messed up the lines easily..hey hey..is goldfish or mollies is good for catch peacock bass??but using the lure is better for revsvervoir..make the resvervior clean!!

bright and big fish giv the PB a better view of ur bit. so a goldfish that i around 4-6 cm is a good bait :nod:

i found out that there are 15 differents kind of peacock bass!but luckily 2 have only come to our waters..the native place of the peacock bass is brazil...very far..

the fish shop opp my house sell from some other country it is white in colour :shocked:

I have quit freshwater fishing but i will still comment. Peacock bass fighting power is way better that Pavon (for me personally)
Pavon will normally attack sinking bait that are big in size (size that they can swallow) and with bright colour. But peacock bass is normally surface type. so using fly fish will get big peacock bass.

I was watching this show on youtube called Addictive Fishing and realise that when they caught a PB they called out the name of the Pb..

To my surprised theres actually 3 diff type of PB the 1 that in the pix was actually called 3 Bar PB.. Due to 3 strip on their body and it senses why the amohs called the PB 3 bar...
Sorry to confuse u coz I'm still new to this sport...

There is a fish shop ( The kind that sells guppies and stuff ) near my house that used to sell 2 Peacock Basses but they got sold.

There is also a fish shop in Clementi that sells a lot of peacock bass. (Even juvies!)
