What's the difference between the Jio Lor & the Gu huud? In appearance that is .... :)

Easiest way to differentiate them is by looking at their gill plates. Guhuud have a large and hard convex shaped gill cover that extends into the pectoral fin. The Jio Lor on the other hand, well...look pretty much like most snapper's gill cover. ;p Guhuud tend to have a yellow tint on their fins, but not always true.

You can try seaworms, they're icky to deal with but they're excellent baits to catch Grunters. Changi Kelong Walk is a good place to try for them.
