Re: [Freshwater] Walking Catfish
No personal experience but from what I've seen from other people's catch, yes they will.

Not sure if it's still legal to fish there, the canal along Ulu Pandan Park connector is a good place to look for catfish. I used to see people fishing at the section where the old railway tracks crosses over.

Re: [Freshwater] Walking Catfish
You can check out carousell but I would personally go dig for them myself.

Where is the best place and time to dig for worms and how do you store them?

Re: [Freshwater] Walking Catfish
I've never tried mealworks before but I don't see why they won't work. But I can see earthworms being a better bait because of its slime...eww...Catfish should be able to detect them underwater more easily.
The best earthworms are those asian jumping earthworms, they're large and really do flip around when threatened. In my experience, if you managed find a shallow and dry drain beside trees that are covered with leaf litters and some soil at the bottom, there's a good chance you find these type of earthworms under them. As a precaution, use a long stick to move the leaves because such spots are also good hiding spots for centipedes.
As for storage, put them in a jar with moist soil mixed some tiny bits leaf litter. Keep them in a cool place and away from direct sunlight.

Re: [Freshwater] Walking Catfish
I've personally never seen anyone catch one in our reservoirs before but I believe there are. The fact that we are limited to the use of artificial lures in reservoirs is one of the main reason we don't often see it anglers landing them.

Which is better for catfishing spinning or baitcasting setups?

Re: [Freshwater] Walking Catfish
It's generally more of your own preference for tackles. But if your lure is very light, it might be easier to cast with a spinning setup.
